Okay, so I was totally going to do the first episode review for Honey & Clover today, but seeing that I took more than 20 screenshots for the prelude even BEFORE the Opening theme and BEFORE the actual episode, I decided to wait until tomorrow, and do ONLY the Opening and Ending theme for Honey & Clover tomorrow, and begin with the episodes after I’m done both of those.
Like i said before, Honey & Clover is and will be my favorite anime for a long time, simply because almost everything about it is perfect in my opinion. J.C.Staff has always been one of my favorite anime studios because they do usually have great budgets for animes, and therefore the animation quality is really good. For studios like Studio Deen, there are always times when the episodes are just kind of awkward looking. Some of the famous animes that have been animated by Studio Deen are Higurashi no Naku Koro ni, Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai, Shion no Ou which i enjoyed watching quite a bit, and more recently, Vampire Knight. It is common knowledge that the Higurashi animations are usually not great especially when drawing Rika and Satoko, them and their stick legs. Vampire in general had rather nice animation and drawings compared to Higurashi, but there are certain episodes that aren’t as good. Shoin no Ou had horrible drawing almost in all the episodes, that the only thing that keeps me watching is the rather interesting storyline. I had absolutely no idea that a board game could be that tense.
Tried to watch the first episode of RD Sennou Chosashitsu last night and I became confused even before the anime has started. The preview begins with this guy diving into the ocean for about 80 meters, then coming back up, commenting on how it’s “only 80 meters”. I will keep watching it just for now, partly because of the fact that I already have 10 episodes on hand, but I will have to see later episodes to see again if I want to review it.
